A licensed Architect or a degree in architecture with five plus (5+) years of experience is desirable. Should have a demonstrated ability in conceptual design, design presentation, technical detailing, thorough understanding of building codes, construction documentation, building permit coordination, and construction administration. Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and follow-through skills are required. Also, ability to prioritize and manage projects/work independently. High proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp. Proficiency in Adobe CS including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Projects. Project Types: Commercial, industrial, hotel, restaurant, tenant improvement, apartments, mixed-use, custom residential, and production housing. This rewarding job involves: Working with our Market Sector Leaders and other Principals at the firm to continue building our public practice. Our Public Sector Market Sectors include: K-12 Schools, Public Safety facilities (Police, Fire), Civic buildings (library, community centers, municipal buildings) and recreation centers and facilities. In conjunction with our Principals and marketing team, assess project opportunities, develop industry network, respond to solicitations form RFQ/P, and lead the preparation of proposals. Assist in business development in other areas of our practice as qualified. Coordinating with project consultants, clients, local agencies and regulatory bodies. Project management duties. Mentoring and directing the work of junior staff. Collaborating in an innovative and respectful team environment. Job requirements include but are not limited to: Minimum of seven (7) years' experience A Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent Current architectural license in the state of California Work experience on public projects is a requirement Working knowledge of California Building Code & DSA requirements is a plus Construction administration experience Work experience with Revit is a plus Graphic and rendering skills are a plus Experience in marketing, business development and public speaking are required
